Brú Columbanus

Brú Columbanus is proud to be a Main Beneficiary Charity of this year’s Ring of Kerry Charity Cycle. As a vital charity supporting families from all over Ireland, we provide free accommodation to families of seriously ill patients in Cork hospitals, including Cork University Hospital, the Mercy Hospital, the South Infirmary Victoria University Hospital, and the Bon Secours Hospital.

Each year, we accommodate almost 700 families in our 26-bedroom facility in Wilton, offering them a comfortable and supportive environment during difficult times. Our goal is to ensure that no family has to worry about finding a place to stay while their loved one is in hospital.

Expanding Our Services – Curraheen House – Thanks to the incredible support of the Ring of Kerry Charity Cycle over the years, along with other generous donations, we were able to purchase Curraheen House in 2024 – a much-needed additional 5-bedroom property to help even more families in need.

However, the demand for our services continues to grow, and we are now focused on expanding Curraheen House to further support families facing medical crises. The funds raised through the Ring of Kerry Charity Cycle this year will be instrumental in helping us achieve this goal, ensuring that more families can stay close to their loved ones during difficult times.
By taking part in the Ring of Kerry Charity Cycle, you are directly helping us provide comfort, care, and a “home from home” for those who need it most.

Thank you for your support!
