ARAS MHUIRE NURSING HOME LISTOWEL

Aras Mhuire Nursing Home is a community funded care home situated in Greenville, Listowel.  Delivering care to 38 residents within the catchment area of North Kerry-West Limerick, Aras Mhuire is heavily reliant on funding through the voluntary efforts of local community and its Board of Directors who give of their time voluntarily.

The very highest standard of nursing and medical care is given to its residents and Aras Mhuire’s management and staff are totally committed to enhancing quality of life with dignified, compassionate, and respectful care.

While Aras Mhuire has a constant and long waiting list, any expansion of capacity is not possible at present as the Board must concentrate its efforts on investment for the maintenance and upkeep of the existing dwelling.  After running costs are paid, all remaining funds are directed to improving the home.  Aras Mhuire is a flat roofed building which is now requires replacement at a cost of circa €200,000.

Con Lynch is a very experienced cyclist who has participated in many fundraising cycles across Europe for charity.  Raising over €100,000 for the Irish Air Ambulance, Co-operation Ireland and Aras Mhuire Nursing Home, he is seriously committed to raising money for worthy causes.  Notable among these was his Land’s End to John O’Groats cycle in 2024, for which he raised a sizeable sum for Aras Mhuire.

This year Con Lynch has put together a fraternity of 60 cyclists from Ireland and the UK, who will complete the Ring of Kerry Charity Cycle specifically to raise essential funds for crucial works at Aras Mhuire.  Their efforts and the continued benevolence of the supports and friends of Aras Mhuire will be appreciated long into the future.

Thank you for your support.
