  • Today we’re highlighting the Coomakista Pass, one of the most-photographed views on the Ring of Kerry Charity Cycle route. At over 700ft above sea level, you’ll have a bit of a climb to reach it – but the sights are worth it! You’ll be looking over Derrynane Bay as week as Abbey Island, Deenish Island and Scariff Island.
  • When you’re preparing for the Ring of Kerry Charity Cycle, how often and how much should you be cycling?
Our experts recommend at least 3 sessions a week, with four as the ‘sweet spot’. You don’t have to – and shouldn’t – push yourself to the max on every ride. Go to our guidlines on ringofkerrycycle.ie for our best advice on preparing for the cycle: http://bit.ly/393QWCt #ROKCC #ROKCC2020
  • In the video above, St Francis Special School tells us why they need a bus, and why having a bus is so key for the school and the children’s needs. If you choose to cycle the Ring of Kerry this July 4th in support of St Francis Special School, you’ll be cycling to support them in their mission to get a bus – you can register at this link: http://bit.ly/30dSx59

  • At present, all preparations for this year’s Ring of Kerry Charity Cycle, which is due to take place on 4th July 2020, are going ahead as normal. Our absolute priority is the health and safety of our participants, spectators and volunteers. We are monitoring developments closely and on a daily basis.
We are continuously making risk assessments based on guidance provided by the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC)/ Department of Health and the Department of Foreign Affairs.
Ultimately, we will be guided by advice from authorities such as the World Health Organisation, our National Public Health Emergency Team and the Health Service Executive, and by our own Health and Safety team. If there is any change in our position, updates will be issued.
